Nilego® HYDROSTOP (Liquid Rubber) – Elastic Hydroisolation
Nilego® Hydrostop (liquid rubber) is a special sealing emulsion for walls, flat roofs, basements, bathrooms, foundations, pools, fountains, balconies, and any other concrete surfaces. Nilego® Hydrostop (liquid rubber) is very elastic, durable, waterproof and decorative at the same time. Can be used indoors and outdoors, on old and new surfaces. It is ideal for surfaces with cracks due to its elasticity. It is applied on: mortar, bricks, natural concrete, plaster, glass, wood, plywood, metal, etc. It can be applied before gluing ceramic tiles as well as on them.
Features: The film formed by Nilego® Hydrostop (liquid rubber) is completely resistant to external influences for a long period of time. Surfaces coated with liquid rubber are flat, without joints and tile joints. The product may be pigmented.
- Resistance to atmospheric influences;
- Waterproofing and water impermeability;
- Resistant to temperature from -35 to 80º C;
- Crack resistance;
- Durable elasticity.
APPLICATION:
- Hydroisolation of: roofs, floors, balconies, pools, baths, fountains and much more
- Repair and renovation of old waterproofing coatings, including bituminous materials.
- Waterproofing protection of underground parts of buildings, ceramic tiles, around the window, chimneys, etc.
- Protection of metal surfaces from humidity (aluminum, copper, galvanized, etc.)
HOW TO WORK:
The substrate on which Nilego® Hydrostop (liquid rubber) is applied must be clean and dry with a maximum humidity of 8% – 12%, if the concrete substrate is cracked, cracks should be filled or the entire surface should be smoothed (with glue for outdoor use). The prepared surface for treatment with Nilego® Hydrostop (liquid rubber) (should be stirred before use) it is first coated with Nilego® POLIGRUND for better adhesion which should be completely dry (minimum 8 hours). After drying the base, Nilego® Hydrostop (liquid rubber) is applied with a brush or roller – partially meter by meter and immediately on the first meter while the liquid rubber is wet, a polyester reinforcing cloth is placed and another layer of Nilego®Hydrostop (liquid rubber) is applied on the cloth until the cloth is completely covered. Leave to dry for a minimum of 8 hours and then apply another layer of Nilego®Hydrostop (liquid rubber) – finishing layer, ie according to the following technological order:
- Application of hydro insulation layer base “Nilego® POLIGRUND”
- After the base dries, apply Nilego® Hydrostop (liquid rubber) with a brush or roller – partially meter by meter and immediately on the first meter while the liquid rubber is wet, place a polyester reinforcing cloth and apply another layer of Nilego® Hydrostop (liquid rubber) on the cloth, until the cloth is completely covered.
- Apply the last layer of Nilego®Hydrostop (liquid rubber).
ATTENTION! The finishing layer is applied after drying the previously applied layers of Nilego®Hydrostop (liquid rubber). It is applied at temperatures above 5°C and it is not recommended to work at temperatures above 35°C and performance in winter conditions and high humidity. Shelf life: 1 year in original unopened packaging. It is not recommended to store it in the sun for a long time. The product must not freeze.
Consumption: Depending on the purpose and the roughness of the surface, the consumption ranges: from 1 kg. up to 1.3 kg / m2 (on flat surfaces) and 1.5 kg. up to 2 kg / m2 (on uneven surfaces).
